Hytera refreshes two “old favorites”: TC-446SE Enhanced and TC-508 Enhanced

Hytera has brought back two well-known analogue handhelds in updated “Enhanced” versions: the licence-free TC-446SE Enhanced for PMR446 (446 MHz) use, and the TC-508 Enhanced, a tougher 400–480 MHz business radio aimed at demanding day-to-day operations.

The TC-446SE Enhanced focuses on simple, reliable team comms with modern usability: 0.5 W output on 446 MHz, up to 48 channels / 3 zones, IP54 protection and MIL-STD-810H compliance. It also supports quick configuration via the Hytera Radio App (Android), with optional Bluetooth 5.0 hardware intended for app-based programming. Feature-wise it covers the essentials for professional use, including VOX, CTCSS/CDCSS, busy channel lockout (BCL), time-out timer (TOT), scrambler, scanning and squelch tail elimination.

The TC-508 Enhanced puts the spotlight on audio and shift-ready runtime. Its front–rear cavity audio chamber plus steel blind-hole speaker grille are designed to deliver louder, clearer, more natural voice intelligibility, while the 1700 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for roughly 14–15 hours under the 5/5/90 duty cycle. Like the TC-446SE Enhanced, it supports 48 channels / 3 zones, VOX operation and fast setup/management using the Hytera app.

Both radios are positioned as practical tools for commercial environments, facility operations, and security teams that need straightforward analogue reliability with faster deployment and cleaner voice performance.
